Questo sito è rivolto ai “macchiaroli” lontani, specialmente a quelli emigrati all’estero e magari già di seconda o di terza generazione, che qui possono trovare un legame con il loro mai dimenticato paese di origine e non perderne così la memoria. 

Le prime poche pagine le ho pubblicate più di venti anni fa in ricordo di mio padre, poi il sito è cresciuto pian piano, aggiungendo alle notizie fornitemi dall’allora sindaco Tonino Carozza e alla ricerca storica effettuata dal Circolo Gambacorta, tutte le informazioni di vario tipo che sono riuscito a raccogliere sul paese come pure le molte iniziative che sono nate negli ultimi anni.

Invito tutti coloro che avranno la pazienza di sfogliarne le pagine a segnalarmi eventuali correzioni da apportare, nuove informazioni o suggerimenti.

This site is aimed at distant “macchiaroli”, especially those who emigrated abroad and perhaps already second or third generation, who can find a link with their never forgotten country of origin and thus not lose their memory.

I published the first few pages more than twenty years ago in memory of my father, then the site grew slowly, adding to the news provided by the then mayor Tonino Carozza and to the historical research carried out by the Circolo Gambacorta, all the various information type that I managed to gather on the country as well as the many initiatives that have sprung up in recent years.

I invite all those who will have the patience to browse the pages to report any corrections to be made, new information or suggestions.
