Questo sito è rivolto ai "macchiaroli" lontani, specialmente a quelli emigrati all'estero e magari già di seconda o di terza generazione, che qui possono trovare un legame con il loro mai dimenticato paese di origine.

 

Vi ho inserito tutte le notizie storiche che sono riuscito a raccogliere sul paese, in modo da non perderne così la memoria, ma anche informazioni attuali come i dati statistici, tributari e


censuari del Comune, degli esercizi commerciali, degli artigiani, dei ristoranti ed altre segnalazioni utili.

 

La ricerca del materiale non è stata facile e devo ringraziare il sindaco Antonio Carozza ed il signor Leonardo Mastrogiorgio, della segreteria comunale, che mi hanno aiutato a raccogliere una parte delle informazioni necessarie, come pure devo rendere merito al lavoro svolto a suo tempo dal Circolo Gambacorta per quella che si ritiene essere la totalità delle notizie storiche conosciute ufficialmente.

This site is for the distant "macchiaroli", emigrants abroad and even already of second or third generation, that can find here a bond with theirs never forgotten country of origin.
 I inserted the whole historical news of the country that I have collected, to not to lose its memory, but also actual informations as the statistic and tributary data of the Commune, the subscribers' list to the telephone, the business, the artisans, the restaurants and other useful signallings.
The search of material has not been easy and I thank the mayor Antonio Carozza and Mr. Leonardo Mastrogiorgio, of the town reception office, that have helped me to assemble a part of the necessary informations, as I also have to make worth to the job developed at that time from the Gambacorta Circle for what is thought to be officially the totality of the known historical news.
